Sunny Days Get Brighter for Couguar . . .

Thank you again for your financial support, prayers and encouragement! Couguar got his Surgery for the sudden ear tumor! We could not have done it without your help since I am on a fixed income and no longer receiving service animal funding from the State due to budget cuts. To lose a Service Animal over this would have been personally devastating; I cannot live without him!

The vet, Dr. Mackey, further discounted it (over ½ of normal cost); plus he did reconstruction, using Coug's face to fix his mangled ear; and, he even got his teeth done for no charge! The tumor lab result came back; while unusual in nature, It Was NOT Cancer! And, the margins were all clean. He should recover fully, with very little scarring! He will be capable of all his duties within a week or so; what a relief! My dearest friend and biggest help is going to be with me for years to come! I cannot begin to thank you enough! I pray you get the support you need to continue to provide this priceless help!

With our Deepest Thanx!!!!!!!!!

Another Sunny Day for Couguar!

Thanks to supporters like you, service dog Couguar is scheduled for surgery today to remove a tumor from his ear. His disabled guardian and widow, Melelani, is no longer receiving service dog funding from the state due to budget cuts and is on Social Security. Couguar lost 10 lbs because the tumor was causing so much pain he couldn't eat. Couguar will soon be out of pain and can continue servicing Melelani allowing her to keep her independence.

"Thank you so much for your pledge. Couguar has been in pain, doesn't sleep and I didn't know what to do. Your donation is a blessing. I am now relieved to be able to help Couguar as his strength keeps me on my feet!" - Melelani

Thank you so much for your generous donation for our dog Dexter's spinal surgery. He is only 8 years old and he saved our lives and we wanted to save his. He is walking again with a hunched over back and is on the road to recovery. We are so grateful that you were able to help us in a desperate time of need. This past week I lost my job again. You have no idea how much this meant to all of us including our other dachshund Sadie Rose who will not leave Dexter’s side. Tia is Feeling Much Lighter

Another Sunny Day Fund helped Tia drain 2 gallons of fluid out of her stomach! She's feeling much lighter and happier. Tia continues to be monitored by her vet and is on the road to a Sunny and bright future ahead. Thanks to all the supporters like you!

I’m writing to you to express my deepest gratitude in your generous gift to help pay for the very expensive Vet bill that Tia occurred. It’s nice to know that there are other people out there that care for animals enough to help in any way that they can.

Tia might never know where the money came from to get her well, but I do. I will never forget you and always remember you in my prayers.

Sunny Days Ahead for Sumo and Tia

Sumo the pug is home safe today after having having tumors removed from his mouth. We had a pledge waiting for him and have just discovered the vet kept the costs down so he didn't use our pledge! Now we can use the pledge towards Tia the puppy who needs stomach surgery! July has been a great month for generous vets and recovering pets!

Meet Little Missy

We gave Missy's mom a pledge for her to see a specialist today about her leg. The nice vet removed her splint and said her leg would heal on its own. He didn't even charge for the visit! Now we have funding to help a little kitten that is off to see the vet tomorrow for an eye infection.

Chabo & Grandma Tomoko have more Sunny Days together

I can't stop wagging my tail! Chabo the cat is healing after her needed surgery. Thanks to your support and generosity, Another Sunny Day Fund was able to provide funding to help with her veterinary care! Now Chabo and Grandma Tomoka can be together for many more sunny days!

Dearest FLFF & Sandra,

On behalf of my Grandmother I am writing to you and thanking you for your help in saving Grandma's beautiful cat named CHABO that has brought so much happiness and love into my grandmothers life and our family when visiting. Her surgery went well, and if we would have waited any longer I don't think that CHABO would be here. The abcess/infection was rapidly weakening her immune system causing her to have a high temp of 103 degrees. She is currently resting and enjoying every bit of extra love and attention and seems thankful that we saved her from enduring any more pain. For some reason I really think she knows we helped her, and is seemingly grateful and affectionate than normal. Thank God for Four Legged Friends Foundation I don't know what WE or CHABO would have done without you. The very thought of losing such a beautiful pet would have been heartbreaking for my Grandmother since it is her only companion. Our family thanks Sandra for her speedy assistance you are a truly an Angel. With all our love and appreciation The Tsuji Family thanks FLFF, Sandra, and every volunteer/worker that dedicates their life, and time towards helping animals in need.

Pictured is Grandma Tomoko and Chabo at the vet office.

210 dogs, cats, bunnies and a Taco!

I'm so excited to announce at the Best Friends Spring Super Adoption on Sunday....210 doggies, kitties, and bunnies found forever homes! How cool is that? I am so happy that I played with Four Legged Friends Foundation and watched the Dancing with the Dogs performances. Best yet...210 of my fur friends have homes!

Maybe I'll sign up for a free-style dance workshop on June 19th or 20th to support future adoption events. If you want to join me visit www.flff.org for details.

Of course we can't forget about a special Taco! He's recovering so nicely at boarding because he needs to be watched. The staff says he is so happy, friendly and feeling so much better! Check him out...no more lump!

Special barks out to all of you supporters out there! Without so many people helping however they can, these animals wouldn't find homes or get proper medical care!

Calls for financial help with vet care have increased at our office. If you can, please give to Another Sunny Day Fund so that we can help more pets in need of vet care!

Dancing with the Dogs - Canceled

I'm a little bummed today. Our Dancing with the Dogs visit at a special needs school today was canceled. Hope to reschedule our visit soon. Four Legged Friends Foundation left a couple of messages at some senior homes to visit. Keep you posted!

Good News and Sunny Days!

Guess what I'm barking and wagging my tail about?

We raised more money to help Taco get his surgery. Wuf Wuf!!! Good Samaritan Laura was trying so hard to raise more money and was still short for Taco to get his procedure done. So Four Legged Friends Foundation approached one of our main Another Sunny Day Fund supporters and got another donation for Taco! YAY...he's gonna feel good and safe again so soon. I'll keep you posted on Taco as Laura scheduled an appointment for surgery.

Another Good Samaritan, Tara also was helped with a little puppy she found on the streets. Tara tried to find his home without any luck and couldn't afford to take him to the vet making sure he was ok. She can't keep him and also didn't want to take the puppy to the shelter. So Another Sunny Day Fund helped get him get checked by a vet and he is very healthy. Tara believes she already found a home for little Puppy.

It was a good day!

Sparky & Smiley help me at the Pet Expo

So I went to the Santa Clarita Pet Expo last weekend. It was really fun. Meet Sparky and Smiley, they helped me man the booth. It was a hot day and they shared the shade with other doggies to cool off.

We met so many wonderful dog and cat lovers there. They liked what Four Legged Friends Foundation was doing to help keep families together and share Dancing with the Dogs to seniors and special needs kids. They were really nice and boy, their doggies were sweet too.

The dance teams had fun too. Everyone was cheering them on. Dexter, Piper and Laura did an awesome debut performance. I am happy they are part of our dance troupe. They may join me, Jess and Linda and Caesar and Kim as we visit the special needs elementary school next week. Can't wait.

I hope you all had a great weekend too! Oh and we will have event pictures posted soon by Lumel Photography. Melinda was very nice to donate her time.

Santa Clarita Pet Expo - This Sat & Sun

Guess what? I'm headed out to the Santa Clarita Pet Expo this weekend with Four Legged Friends Foundation. It is gonna be so fun! FLFF will be showcasing Dancing with the Dogs on Saturday May 1st. Free-style canine dancing is a fun activity for handlers and dogs. They showcase how dogs come in all different sizes, shapes and personalities. It is a great way to help people adopt the right dog or cat that matches their lifestyle.

There will be 4 teams performing at 11 am and 2:45 pm. Caesar is a standard poodle that uses dancing with Kim to gain confidence because when he was a puppy he attacked by another dog. Then there is Sierra, she's the senior of the dance troupe. She's 10 years old and loves to dance with KrisDonna. You'll see her smiling the entire time. Next up is Jess with Linda. Jess is a very talented dog...not only does she dance but she visits hospice patients! She lays there for hours next to the patients providing relaxation and love. Jess is also a DOGSWELL 2010 WAG Award winner for most talented. Last up, is Piper, Dexter and Laura. These two are a pair of corgis that dance together. They are super cute and are so in sync. I can watch them dance for hours! Click here to read their bios http://www.flff.org/danceteamsbios.pdf

I hope you come, visit us and watch the show! I'll be there all weekend but come on Saturday if you want to watch Dancing with the Dogs!

There will be adoptions, vendors, entertainment and more! For more event and ticket information, visit http://www.petexpousa.net/.

I am so excited. I am going to head out with Four Legged Friends Foundation on May 13th to a special needs school. We are bringing Dancing with the Dogs dance teams to perform for the kids along with pet therapy teams to visit. I promise to take lots of pictures to share with you!

Some of the teams will be performing at the Santa Clarita Pet Expo on Saturday May 1st. You should come watch them. I'll be there too. I won't be dancing but barking out cheers for sure! There will be lots of animals up for adoption in case you are looking for a new furry family member!

FLFF is always looking for new dance teams to perform, all levels. Stay tuned because I will post when the next work shop will take place that you too can learn with your dog. You can join Four Legged Friends Foundation when they bring the Dancing with the Dogs troupe to pet fairs, children centers, senior homes and more. Our troupe is all about having fun and showcasing dogs in all shapes and personalities.

You can learn more about Dancing with the Dogs, Pet Expo USA and watch one of our advance teams at www.flff.org.

Another Sunny Day for little Taco

Got a call about a homeless guy's dog Taco who needs medical care. Good Samaritan Laura with Dog's Life Rescue saw little Taco and realized he has a very swollen gland and needs treatment. Laura is going to take him to the vet and our Another Sunny Day Fund will help him. Here is a picture of little Taco that Laura took. We can't wait for him to feel all better. Stay tuned on his progress.

Did you know that Four Legged Friends Foundation on average receives about 10 calls a week asking for help? That is about 520 animal a year needing medical care. The numbers are increasing so if you are able to help in today's economy, please consider giving today by donating online at www.flff.org. Our goal is to one day help all the animals in need of care.

Keep your days Sunny and Bright!!
Thanks!
